Recollection:
In secondary school, between the ages of 11 and 14, we were made to wear P.E. pants with nothing else but a tucked-in t-shirt.
I distinctly remember there being a fire alarm, and standing alongside thirty 14 year old girls in the rain on the tennis courts, with some bemused-looking firemen standing by.
Would that be allowed nowadays, I wonder? And how positive an effect will this have had on body image and self-esteem? Hmm…
